  General Notes:

George enlisted in Feb/Mar 1860 as a Volunteer in the Port Elliot Rifle Brigade, the local brigades Goolwa & Port Elliot competed against each other in rifle shooting matches. This was taken as an excuse for many families to hold a picnic to socialize and watch the ment compete.

He and wife Sarah & 3 children, Thomas, Mary & Dorothy, born at Port Elliot, would have moved back to Adelaide in Abt 1863 when John & Sarah were born at Queenstown, they then moved to Wallaroo in Abt 1868 when his last two children George & Hannah were born.

(Sarah2 BAILS [3836] was born on 29 Dec 1831 in Newcastle Upon Tyne, Northumberland, England, died on 20 Aug 1902 in Wallaroo, South Australia and was buried on 22 Aug 1902 in Wallaroo Cemetery, South Australia.). The cause of her death was Senile Decay/Heart Dilitation.
