Daily Examiner (Grafton MSW) Monday 25 November 1940 WEDDING EARLE- VERCO. An event of considerable interest in social circles in Adelaide, writes a South Australian correspondent, was the wedding at the Church of Christ, Park street, Unley, on Saturday, November 2, of Florence, Evelyn, only daughter of Mr. W. R. Verco of Grafton, N.S.W., to Harold Murray, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Edwin Earle of 7 Leslie 5 Avenue, St Peters. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. A. E. Verco, of Adelaide, was dressed in magnolia broche satin bodice trimmed at neckline with seed pearls with fully flared skirt and train and a cluster of magnolia lillies and gold leaves for headdress. She carried a sheath in cream and gold tonings and her veil was of magnolia tulle with lace corners, interwoven with gold thread. Two cousins of the bride, Misses Doris Evans, of Glenburn, Riverton, and Holly Verco, of Adelaide, acted as bridesmaids. Miss Evans was dressed in gold krinkle georgette prettily beaded in gold in the shaped waistline and also at neckline with saddle pannier effect at hips and skirt fully flared forming a slight train while Miss Verco was similarly attired in green. They both were posies of real flowers on head with tulle ties and ends. Mr. Raymond Earle, of Kingston, was best man and Mr. Frank Earle, of St. Peters, was groomsman. At the reception, which was held at Covent Garden cafe, Adelaide, there were 26 guests, who were received by the bridegroom's mother and the bride's aunt, Mrs. G. Borthwick, the former being dressed in harvest wine Romaine with hat to match and the latter in black and white pin spot ensemble and hat to match. The bride's travelling suit was of air force blue Windsor, Romaine ensemble with white accessories.
