OBITUARY
MR JOHN RICHARDSON. The death occurred at the Port Lincoln Hospital last Monday night, at about 11 o'clock, of one of Port Lincoln's earliest and most popular pioneers, Mr John Richardson. Mr Richardson took ill on Thursday morning last, and had been lingering until his death. He died at the age of 70.

In 1865, Mr Richardson was born at Burrowing Mine, and during his life he has lived mostly in the Bramfield, Poonindie and Port Lincoln districts. Mr Richardson retired in 1928, when he came to Port Lincoln with his family. On Christmas Day 1885 he was married to Miss M. Hood, who, with the five children, survive him. The children are : - Messrs Jim, Basil and Andrew, of Port Lincoln; Mrs Ede Stirling, of Malpas, and Mrs T. G. Miller, of Port Lincoln.

Mr Richardson was an active Church worker up till the time of his illness. He was also very interest in sport, and was always doing his Funding for digitisation contributed by Port Lincoln History Group.
