A MAINTENANCE CLAIM.
Matilda Coillet sued her husband, Antonia Coillet, at the District Court yesterday for maintenance. Complainant said she had been married to defendant for about 20 years. Three years ago she left him because he alleged infidelity against her. She had since been earning her living as domestic servant, and was at present in receipt of 10/ per week as the matron of the Brunswick Creche. She believed her husband's earnings to amount to between £6 and £8 a week. There were six children of the marriage, the youngest (aged 15) being in witness's care. Defendant said his wife made certain admissions to him and then left the house. He earned about £3 a week, and had two sons to keep. The bench made an order for the payment by defendant of 15/- a week, with £2 2/ costs.

COILLET-On the 17th August at private hospital Brighton, Matilda wife of late Antoine Coillet, loving mother of Lucrèce, Anthony, Paul, May and France, Aged 82 years Privately interred 19 August.

Matilda married Antoine COILLET [15571] [MRIN: 5727], son of Antoine COILLET [15586] and Lucree DAMONT [15587], in 1885 in VIC, Australia. (Antoine COILLET [15571] was born circa 1854 in Collonges, France, died on 26 Aug 1911 in South Melbourne, VIC, Australia and was buried on 27 Aug 1911 in Melbourne General Cemetery, Carlton, VIC.)
