Boy Kicked by Horse; Dies
An hour after Errol Dean Size, 11, of Balhannah, had been kicked in the head by a horse today he collapsed and died.
About 7.10 a.m. the boy saddled up his horse to round up some cows. As he mounted the horse it swung away from him and caused him to lose his balance. The boy's head was down under the horse's neck and a knee struck him just behind the ear, fracturing his his skull.
Constable Merton, of Woodside, is preparring a report for the coroner.
