SMART.- On March 7, at hospital. result of accident, Rosetta Maud, beloved wife of Lionel Smart and devoted mother of Cecil (dec.), Merle, Vernon, Audrey, Clare and Lance. Aged 68 years.

Tram, Car Drivers Exonerated
At inquests yesterday into the death of two women, the drivers of a tram and a car were exonerated.
The City Coroner IMr. T. E. Cleland I found that the driver of a car which had struck Rosetta Maude Smart, 68, of East terrace, Strathalbyn, at Strathalbyn, on March 4, causing her extensive injuries culminating in gangrene from which she died at the Royal Adelaide Hospital on March 7, was not travelling at an excessive speed and was not guilty of negligent driving.
Mr. Cleland said that at 7.15 p.m. on March 4, Mrs. Smart and her husband were walking along Adelaide road towards the Junction of North Parade.
As Frederick James Holtham, apprentice fitter, of Strathalbyn. who had been driving a car cast along North parade turned into Adelaide road, Mrs. Smart who had hesitated and stepped back, stepped forward into the path of the car.
