Ripple Satin Dresses
At the Enfield Methodist Church the marriage will be celebrated tonight of Miss Lorraine Estelle Dowden, third daughter of Mr.W. C. Dowden, of Linley avenue, Prospect, and Mr. Leslie Thomas Everes, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Everes, of Prospect. The Rev. D. E. Dickson will officiate, and the bride will be given away by her father. She will wear a gown of white ripple satin, the yoke and sleeves trimmed with silver lace, as is the hem of the full skirt, which has a long train. Her hand-worked tulle veil will be held in place with a coronet of orange blossom, and she will carry a sheaf of pink and white flowers. Miss Nita Dowden, bride's sister, will be the bridesmaid. Her dress is of salmon pink ripple satin, having trimmings of silver lace. The skirt is flared. A pink satin halo trimmed with pink flowers forms her headdress, with a shoulder-length veil edged with silver. She will carry a sheaf of pink flowers. Mr. Claude Homan will be the bestman. Immediate relatives will afterwards be entertained at the home of the bride's father. The bride's stepmother will wear a henna dress trimmed with gold. Brown accessories and an autumn-toned shoulder spray will be worn. A black gown and hat, and a spray of red roses will be worn by the bridegroom's mother.
