The West Australian (Perth) Monday 12 Jun 1939 Funeral Notice. The Late Mrs. E. E. Bentley. The funeral services for the late Mrs. E.E. Bentley, the beloved wife of Mr. Victor H. Bentley, of Darlington, W.A. took place in the Crematorium Chapel Karrakatta on Saturday morning last there being present a large number of friends and relatives. Born in Perth, the late Mrs. Bentley had lived the whole of her life in Perth, and during her lifetime had endeared herself to many. The service at the Crematorium was conducted by the Rev. Lincoln Sullivan. The chief mourners were Mr. Victor H. Bentley (husband), Nancy and Gladys (daughters) Mervyn (son). Mesdames East, G. Manning and G. Uphill (sisters). Messrs. H.R., A.S. and N.E.W. Hocking (brothers). Messrs. East, G. Manning and Geo. Upphill (brothers-in-law). Mrs. E. Bentley (sister-in-law). Mr. H. Bentley (father-in-law), and Mrs. M. Raston (cousin). The pall-bearers were Messrs. M. Owen, J. Tomlinson J. Nathan, R. Richter and V. K. Jones. Amongst those present were Inspector J. Doyle, Messrs. A. S. Hardwick, L. W. de Morley, R. G. Liddell. H. N. A number of beautiful wreathes and floral tributes were received and placed in the Crematorium Chapel. Numerous telegrams and messages of sympathy have been received by the members of the bereaved family. The funeral arrangements were in the hands of Donald J. Chipper and Son.
