LATE MRS. M. HARRIS
Twice Resident of Wandearah Mrs. Mary Harris, who passed away suddenly at her residence, Wandearah North, was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Everes. Deceased, who was 69 years, was born near Strathalbyn in March, 1869. With her parents she went to Laura and then to Wandearah North. She was educated at Laura and Wandearah East Schools. On February 14, 1901, Miss Everes was married to Mr. Benjamin Harris at her parents' home, Wandearah North. With her husband she settled at Hamley Bridge. There they were successfully engaged at dairy farming until the death of her husband on December 15, 1917, when she returned to the old home at Wandearah. Mrs. J. R. Jacobs (Wandearah North), and Messrs. William Everes (Kilburn), and James Everes (Wandearah North) are her surviving sister and brothers. Mr. E. M. Everes, of Miltalie, predeceased her. The remains of Mrs. Harris were interred in Crystal Brook Cemetery. Rev. V. R. Secombe officiated at the graveside. Pallbearers were Messrs. G. E. Jacobs. J. H. Jacobs, N. Jacobs, and D. Joyce. Floral tributes were sent by. Mr. and Mrs. J. Everes. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Jacobs and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Jacobs, Mrs. E. Jacobs, sen., Mr. and Mrs. D. Joyce and family, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Jacobs, Mrs. R. Ramke and family, Mr. and Mrs. F. N. George and Stan Afford, Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Afford, Mrs. Bristow, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Penney and family, and Miss Edna Hutchison.
