The Cherry Gardens public school children held their annual picnic at Port Noarlunga. About 80 children and parents were conveyed in lorries owned by Messrs. G. Brumby. H. Lewis. S. Hicks, C. Stone, end E. Strange. Mr. E. strange was In charge or the races, which resulted:-

TERRELL, Vernon Eric. -- Born October 2, 1919, Adelaide. Passed away peacefully at the QEH on January 31, 2009. Aged 89 years. Dearly loved and devoted husband of Essie. Much loved father of Kathy, Stephen, Ashley and Nigel, and their partners, Philip, Jan, Rose, Sandy (deceased) and Sue. Much loved papa of Sean. Our devoted husband and loving father and grandfather has shown us the gift of courage and strength. Rest in peace.
