JACOBS, Rees National. Passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2003 at Victor Harbor Nursing Home. In his 83rd year. Dearly beloved husband of Mary Elizabeth. Third son of Herbert and Ida Jacobs (both deceased). Loving brother of Althea, Joy, Thora and Jim (all deceased) and Ted, Dawn and Jack.

JACOBS. -- RELATIVES and FRIENDS of the late Mr. REES NATIONAL JACOBS are respectfully advised that his Funeral Service will be conducted in the Pengelley & Knabe Funeral Centre, Rupara Avenue, Victor Harbor on WEDNESDAY, July 9, 2003 commencing at 1.30 p.m. Followed by Burial in the Victor Harbor Cemetery. In lieu of floral tributes donations, on Rees' behalf to Diabetics Association of SA GPO Box 1930 Adelaide 5001 would be appreciated. Rees married Mary Elizabeth GOLDING [8418] [MRIN: 3056] on 18 Jun 1949 in St Mary's Catholic Church, Bordertown, South Australia. (Mary Elizabeth GOLDING [8418] was born on 9 Dec 1929 in Bordertown, South Australia, died on 16 Sep 2010 and was buried in Victor Harbor Cemetery, South Australia.)

GOLDING-JACOBS
On June 18th, the wedding was quietly celebrated of Miss Mary Elizabeth Golding, only child of Mr and Mrs W. F. Golding, of Mundalla, with Mr Rees N. Jacobs, third son of Mr and Mrs H. D. Jacobs, of Bordertown, in St Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Fr Tuite officiated. The Bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was frocked in a pink ensemble, and wore a brown hat and matching accessories. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Linda Golding, who wore a blue jacket suit and navy accessories. Mr M. Johnson carried out the duties of bestman. Following the ceremony, relatives and friends were entertained in the lounge of the Bordertown hotel to a buffet luncheon, given by the bride's parents. Mrs F. V. Trenorden, friend of the bride, made and presented her with a beautiful two-tiered wedding cake, iced by Mr G. Bishop. The happy couple later left for a caravaning tour of Victoria. Their future home will be at Kongal.
