Border Chronicle (Bordertown, SA : 1908 - 1950) Thu 30 Jun 1949 Bordertown Wedding GOLDING-JACOBS On June 18th, the wedding was quietly celebrated of Miss Mary Elizabeth Golding, only child of Mr and Mrs W. F. Golding, of Mundalla, with Mr Rees N. Jacobs, third son of Mr and Mrs H. D. Jacobs, of Bordertown, in St Mary's Catholic Church. Rev. Fr Tuite officiated. The Bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was frocked in a pink ensemble, and wore a brown hat and matching accessories. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Linda Golding, who wore a blue jacket suit and navy accessories. Mr M. Johnson carried out the duties of bestman. Following the ceremony, relatives and friends were entertained in the lounge of the Bordertown hotel to a buffet luncheon, given by the bride's parents. Mrs F. V. Trenorden, friend of the bride, made and presented her with a beautiful two-tiered wedding cake, iced by Mr G. Bishop. The happy couple later left for a caravaning tour of Victoria. Their future home will be at Kongal.
