Pocock, Doughty Terrace, Mt Gambier, to Douglas Maxwell, youngest son of Mr. and the late Mr. H. J. Fimmell, of 56 Hobbs Avenue, Dalkeith, Western Australia, will be solemnised at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Mt. Gambier, on Saturday, December 14, at 2.30 p.m. Border Watch (Mt Gambier) Thursday 9 January 1947 Fimmell--Pocock A gown of Nottingham lace was worn by Beth LeRay Pocock, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Pocock of Doughty Terrace, Mount Gambier, for her marriage to Douglas Maxwell Fimmell ex RAAF of Dalkieth, West Australia, at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Mount Gambier, on December 14. The bride's gown was made of Nottingham lace brought from England by the groom. It had a full skirt, which fell into a scalloped train, a high heart-shaped neckline and long sleeves. A tulle veil, lent by her sister-in-law, Mrs. L. Fimmell, was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a boquet of Queen Anne lace flowers and Regal lilies. Miss Betty Clayton, of Melbourne was bridesmaid. She wore a vieux rose taffeta frock trimmed with tiny loops. She carried an 1830 posy of abulitan and carnations and wore a curvette of similar flowers in her hair. The bridegroom, who is the younger son of Mrs. and the late Mr. H. J. Fimmell of 56 Hobbs Avenue, Dalkieth, W. A., was attended by Mr. John Thompson ex RAAF. Rev W. L. Collins officiated.
