Chronicle Saturday 10 December 1910 Marriage Notice: SPILLER- BRANFORD.- On the 26th October, at the residence of the bride's parents, by the Rev. J. Dewhurst, Anglican minister, Arthur James, third son of the late Alfred Spiller, of Adelaide, to Veda Laurel, eldest daughter of E. Branford, lrymple, Mildura. Present address - Koorlong-avenue, Irymple, Mildura.
Chronicle Saturday 10 December 1910 A quiet wedding took place at the residence of the bride's parents, Koorlong avenue, lrymple, on Wednesday, October 26, when Mr. Arthur James Spiller, third son of the late Mr. Alfred Spiller, of Adelaide, was married to Miss Veda Laurel Branford, eldest daughter of Mr. K. Branford, of Irymple, Mildura. The Rev. J. Dewhurst was the officiating minister. The bride, who was given away by her father, was prettily dressed in white silk, with wreath of real orange blossom, from which depended a silk tulle veil. The bridesmaid was Miss Doris Branford (sister of bride), who was robed in cream voile, with cream lace trimming. Mr. Alex. Spiller (brother of bridegroom) acted as best man. After the ceremony afternoon tea was partaken of Mr. and Mrs. Spiller left on their honeymoon trip, and spent Cup week in Melbourne. The bride's travelling dress was a cream Sicilian coat and skirt, with white hat, trimmed with Marguerite daisies. The bride was the recipient of many handsome and useful presents.
