To celebrate the birthdays of Gwendolen Raymond and Hope Raston and to bid farewell to Jack Colpus, who will shortly be going into camp, a party was "held at the Raymond home in Goldsmith-road, Claremont. Games and community singing were enjoyed and songs were rendered by Jack Colpus. The birthday cake which had been artistically decorated by Nancy Raymond and bore the names, Gwen and Hope, was greatly admired. Those present were Pat Mangini, Peg Wickens, Margaret and Joan Timbury, B. and J. Spooner, Nancy Raymond, Mrs. H. C. Colpus. Mrs. J. Stratfield. Mrs. E. Raymond and Mrs. M. Raston, J. Tregeweth, I. Wickens, I. Milbank, N. Kneebone, B. and J. Gladish and Graham Lee.
