Dear Aunt Mary, I have never written to you before. I am seven years old. I go to school in Tammin. I go in on Monday mornings, and come home again on Fridays. Mother and my little sisters, Lois and Margaret, have been away for a nice holiday to the Porongurups and Cuballing. Will you please send me a calendar? With love from your nephew, Ross Padman Raston.

My dear Ross, it was a great pleasure to me to receive your first letter. It was very nicely written for a little boy of seven, and I hope you will often write to me. You must look forward to the weekends at home. How nice for mother and your little sisters to have had a pleasant holiday. You shall have your calendar.
