Daily News (Perth) Monday 4 Apr 1932 & Sunday Times (Perth) Sunday 10 Apr 1932 REPTON-UPPILL. The Tammin Hall was beautifully decorated for the occasion and packed to its utmost capacity on Easter Monday when friends and relatives gathered to witness the marriage of Bernice, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Uppill, to Harold (Jim), elder son of Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Repton, both of Tammin. The Rev. F. E. James officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charming in a gown of silk georgette, and carried a sheaf of roses and heather. A full veil of soft embroidered tulle was held in place by a band of Brussels lace and orange blossom. Her only bridesmaid was her cousin, Miss Meryl Hocking, who wore a pretty pink floral ninon frock, with flounced skirt, and a picture hat to match, and carried, a sheaf of pink lilies. Mr. Lionel Repton (brother of the bridegroom) was best man. As the bride entered with her father the bridal march was played by Miss Margaret Raston, and during the singing of the register Mrs. Leonard Bensley sang "My Prayer." The bridal party, left the hall amid a shower of rose leaves and confetti. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Uppill entertained over 30 relatives at their home, Coodernoppin, where tables were decorated with Michaelmas daisies, pink roses, and carnations. Among the toasts honored was that of all absent friends and relatives. Later Mr. and Mrs. Harold Repton left by car, the bride travelling in a smart tailored grey suit, with shell pink satin blouse and white felt hat.
