Barrier Miner (Broken Hill, NSW : 1888 - 1954) Mon 14 Jun 1943 DEATH OF MR. W. TILLEY After a residence in Broken Hill of over 45 years. Mr. William Albert Tilley died at his home, 239 Heb bard Street, South Broken Hill, on Saturday night. He was born at Nairne, South Australia, and was 68 years of age. Mr. Tilley, who was a member of the F.E.D. and F.A. and I.O.R. Star of Alma Lodge, collapsed while reading in front of the fire on Saturday night. Dr. Boscence, who was summoned, found that Mr. Tilley had died from heart failure. He leaves a widow, one daughter (Mrs, W. Baldwin), and one son (Victor), who resides in South Australia. The burial will take place tomorrow, the cortege, leaving his late residence at 11 a.m. for the Methodist portion of the Cemetery. Fred J. Potter and Son have charge of the funeral arrangements.

The burial service at the house and graveside was read by the, Rev. R. C. Cuthberlet. The bearers were Messrs M. Simmens, D. Pryor, R. Arthur, E. Baldwin, P. Clogg, J. Terrell. The F.E.D. and E.A. was presented by Mr. A. Kersten, and the, Alma Rechabite Lodge by Bro. W. Hughes. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Fred J. Potter and Son.
