Kalgoorlie Miner Saturday 1 January 1944
Soldier Arrested Yesterday afternoon Detective Woodcock arrested a young soldier and charged him with having unlawfully assumed control of a B.S.A. motor cycle valued at £50 the property of Kenneth Norman Ryder. A further charge of giving a false name and address was laid against the youth. As he is only 17 years and nine months old he will appear in the Children's Court.

Youth on Two Charges A 17-year-old youth appeared before Messrs. E. B. Elliot and D. C. Hamilton, J.P., in the Kalgoorlie Children's Court on Saturday on two charges, of having given a false name and address to Constable Parkin, and of having un lawfully assumed control of a motor cycle, KMC 106, valued at £50, the property of Kenneth Norman Ryder. The youth was bound over to be of good behaviour for six months in a personal bond of £10. Detective-Sergeant Parker prosecuted.
