Mr Roberts was the recipient of a very handsome silver-mounted wallet, presented on behalf of his numerous friends in Moora. Col. Denton, M.L.A, occupied the chair and said those present were to say au revoir to an estimable citizen, who had lived in Moora for many years and he was soriy to lose his company. The guest was a good soldier and a man. In business he had been obliging and diligent and was leaving, to better himself and in whatever sphere of life Mr Roberts might be the speaker wished him well. Mr Denton then made the presentation referred to above. Dr Myles regretted the departure of the guest, whom he had known for some years and Moora could ill afford to lose him. Anything Mr Roberts did was whole-hearted and genuine. Mr Gloster wished the guest every success in his new sphre of labour and paid a tribute to his many good qualities. Mr V. Parker thought that Mr Roberts' place in the community would be hard to fill. Mr C. H, Davies said their guest had proved, himself a man of his word and he trusted that Mr Roberts would meet with success in his new undertaking. Mr W. S. Ralston endorsed all that had been said about the guest. Mr Roberts was leaving to better himself. On behalf of the staff and himself Mr Ralston wished their de- parting guest every success. Mr T. Smith greatly regretted Mr Roberts' departure from the district. He was always the same and it was hard to part with such a good towns- man. On behalf of the Progress Associa- tion, Mr A. Sampey wished the guest every success in his future, Mr E. L. Green 'spoke of the sterling qualities of the guest and joined with others in wishing him success. He had tried to be a good citizen and hoped he had succeeded. He was leaving Moora, but he trusted that the town and district would continue to prosper. He considered that the member for the district (Mr IS Denton) had done a lot of good work for this electorate. Moora was a good place in which to invest. He heartily thanked Mr Ralston: for the splendid manner In which he had been treated during the whole time he had been employed by Mr Ralston.
