Coming of Age Party
Mr. and Mrs. Bails, of Coburg road, Alberton, entertained a number of friends at their home on, Saturday evening, May 29, to celebrate the 2lst birthday of Thelma, their only child. The supper room was artistically decorated. Mr. Hoffman proposed the health of Miss Bails, and presented her with three keys, two of which were of chocolate, and the other of gold. He was supported by Mr. Moore. Miss Bails suitably replied. A long programme consisting of singing and pleasing numbers by Mrs. Lampee, Miss Thelma Bails, Mr. Hoffman, Mr. Loveder, flute solos by Ben Glanville, a recitation by Jack Glanville, and choruses by the guests, was successfully disposed of. In the competitions the ladies prize was won by Miss Ivy Loveder, the gentlemen's by Ben Glanville, and the booby prize by Miss Fry. Miss Bails received many valuable presents. Those present were Mesdames Pregnell, Glanville, Lampee, High, Madame Johnson James, Misses G. and I. Loveder, Brown, O'Connell, Fry, Enid Bails, Gill, Messrs. Glanville, Loveder, Hoffman, Moore, Elder, Ben and Jack Glanville.

FITZGERALD, Thelma. - Maritime Union of Australia wishes to inform its Members of the passing of the late Thelma. Thelma was a tireless worker for, and friend of the Wharfies for many years. SA State Secretary, R Newlyn.

FITZGERALD, Thelma. - The MUA Women's Committee mourns the passing of Thela. Thelma was a dedicated President of our Committee for many years during hard times and good times. All Women's Committee past and present will miss her. She was a legend.
