UNREGISTERED PISTOL.
Man Fined on Two Charges.
Charged with having had in his possession an unregistered pistol andwith having carried a pistol without a permit Hugo Laubque aged 38 years,motor mechnnlc appeared before Mr A A Kelley, P M, and Messrs T Callaghan, T. Latham, W H Curtis and J. Moore J.P.'s, at the City Court on Tuesday. Plain-clothes Constable G.H.Featherston said: -I arrested Laubque on the afternoon of August 10 on a charge of having deserted his wife. When I searchel him at the watchhouse I found a revolver and some cartridges in his possession. He admitted that the revolter wa not registered and that he had no permit to carry it. He said that he was going to pawn it for a girl he knew. It is alleged that he had been married only three days when he deserted his wife. Laubque was fined £5 on each charge.

Warrants issued for the following:-
HUGO LAUBQUE, described as 38 years of age (appears younger), about 11st. 6lb. weight, 5ft 10in. high, strong build, pale complexion, fair hair, dark eyebrows, long dark eyelashes, grey eyes, small scar between eyebrows, front top teeth uneven (gold fillings visible), has a swimming girl tattooed on one forearm, face of girl on upper farm, CONNIE on one arm, rather talkative, motor salesman, dressed in grey suit, grey overcoat, and grey felt hat; may be accompanied by a woman named Vie, who states she is Mrs. Laubque, and is described as 34 years of age, small, thin woman, makes up with high color, dark brows (meet), dark eyes, false teeth (some filled with gold), hair has been dyed fair, but is now going dark, wears very short dresses and high-heeled shoes; charged that on the 3rd August, 1926, at Adelaide, he did unlawfully leave, without adequate means of support, his wife, Jessie Margot Laubque. He is therefore to be arrested and brought before the Police Court, Adelaide, to be further dealt with according to law. Warrant filed at C.I. Branch, Adelaide. (C5254.)

Hugo married Jessie Margot ROWE [13598] [MRIN: 5057], daughter of Peter Ernest ROWE [13596] and Janet Morrison ROSS [13597], on 2 Aug 1926 in St Pauls Church, Two Wells, South Australia. (Jessie Margot ROWE [13598] was born on 22 Mar 1904 in Adelaide, South Australia.)
