Wearing a cream French lace gown, and entering the Peterborough Baptist Church on the arm of her father, Miss Edna Hannah Sambell was married to Mr. Wilfred Ernest Bails, on Saturday night, the Rev. E. C. Walsh officiating. Tlie bride is the younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Sambell, "Woodland Park," Peterborough, and the bridegroom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bails, of Clarence Park. The bodice of the bridal gown was shirred at the front and buttoned from neck to waistline at the back, and the skirt merged into a long scalloped lace edged train. The embroidered tulle veil was fastened to a halo of silver net and orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of white flowers with silver ribbon streamers. The bridesmaids, Misses Muriel Steer and Marjorie Sambell (bride's cousins) were frocked alike in old gold satin, cut on slim fitting lines, and having long full skirts. They wore large green picture hats, and carried sheaves of autumn toned flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Messrs. Fred Flavel and Kenneth Sambell. Mr. W. Choat presided at the organ, and during the signing of the register, . Miss Marjorie Dowsett sang "Thanks be to God." As the bride was leaving the church, little Beth Bowering, frocked in pale green georgette, hung a lucky horseshoe on her arm. The reception was held at "Woodland Park," where Mrs. Sambell received the guests in a navy silk ensemble, and carrying a posy of red flowers. The bridegroom's mother wore a chantille lace coatee over a black georgette gown, and a spray of lilies of the valley. A saxe blue English jersaline frock and a navy accessories was chosen by the bride for travelling. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Bails' future home will be in Adelaide.
