OBITUARY.
We have with regret to record the decease of Mr William John Renton, oi East Moonta, which occurred on Friday morning last. The deceased, who was born at Moonta Mines, 53 years ago, met with accident some weeks ago, the effects of w hich-contributed to his death. He was in Mr W. Jones' timber yard with his horse and cart at the time accident, when the horse taking off he was jammed between the cart wheel and the gate post, and was injured internally. He leaves a widow and one son (Mr H. Renton). His mother (Mrs H. Renton) and three sisters reside in Sydney, and a brother is in West Australia. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon.

William married Sophia DONEY [12024] [MRIN: 4455], daughter of William DONEY [12004] and Living, on 8 Apr 1896 in Res of William Doney, East Moonta, South Australia. (Sophia DONEY [12024] was born on 27 Feb 1868 in Nairne, South Australia, died on 21 Oct 1947 in Wallaroo, South Australia and was buried in Moonta Cemetery, South Australia.)
