An inquest was held on Friday at Gloag's Inn, Mount Barker, on the body of Daniel Gillett, late landlord of the Nairne Arms, Nairne. The deceased had been drinking freely the previous evening, and laid down on the sofa in the large room at Gloag's, where it was supposed he would sleep himself sober. In the morning he was found dead by the servant, death having been occasioned, as appeared from a post-mortem examination by suffocation, and a verdict was returned to that effect.
